VERTICAL MURAL GARDEN

In the year 2017 I again got a chance to install another amazing art work at Tirumala temple for Brahmotsavam. This time I was given dhashavataram as the concept for the mural garden which followed the same style as the Mysore paintings. This work consisted of 13 sculptures in total.

The main deities include Venkateshwara which is a 13 feet fiberglass work and his ten avatars each of which is a 6 feet fibreglass sculpture.

The work took two months to be completed. The initial stages were clay modelling, a lot of prominence was given to detailing.
The mural style was adopted from Mysore paintings
On completing the clay work it was first moulded with pop and then casted with fiber and finally painted with mostly copper, gold and black colours to give an antique finish.
Ultimately the works were installed against a vertical garden making it my second permanent art installation  at Tirumala. I am certainly proud of myself for working in this project, it helped me gain a lot of experience and learnt new as well as different techniques.
THANK YOU
